Cultural Diversity! What makes us different, keeps us strong! A candid conversation with a local attorney who works with immigrant families!
(Massillon): With immigration being one of the major issues on a dinner table filled with political hotplates; there is one local attorney; and perhaps THE only local attorney working with immigrant families in Western Stark County.
Tonight you will meet Jose Iborra, Attorney at Law. The focus of Mr. Iborra's practice is to represent Hispanic and other culturally diverse families facing legal issues. When all is said and done, at the end of the day, Mr. Iborra sees no difference between immigrant families and American families. We're all the same! The difference is not found with the people waiting to become Americans; the true challenge is found in the process.
Perhaps the real injustice here is that a young man or women wanting to become an American citizen has to wait up to twenty years for a response from the U.S. Under the current administration; immigrants in this country who are waiting for their papers and are following the requirements set by our state department are now being 'cherry picked' and quickly deported. They are not criminals. They broke no laws, they pay taxes and they have been following the letter of our laws when filing immigration paperwork.
Below is a conversation between our Larry Slagle and Atty. Iborra.
