City does deal with Aqua Water to pave streets where water lines were replaced!
(Massillon): These were streets that were NOT on Massillon's re-pavement plan. These were streets on the cities Northeast side that have been battered and beat up after Aqua Water spent the Summer months replacing water lines in that area. Aqua planned to lay new pavement over half of the streets covering areas where they did their work. The other side of those streets which are still beat up are the responsibility of the city and would be left undone.
The area in question is 17th, 18th and 19th streets Northeast; an area that is not on Massillon's re-pavement plan. Thanks to a deal between the city and Aqua; that has changed. During a special meeting Monday night; City Council approved the deal which will allow Aqua and its contractors to repave all of the streets where new water lines were installed on the Northeast side
