'MassillonLIVE' endorses Susan Palmer, Congressional Candidate for the 16th District!

(Massillon): In its first endorsement for this years November elections; 'MassillonLIVE' is endorsing Susan Palmer; Democratic Candidate for the 16th Congressional District.

Although most of the Massillon proper is in the 7th District; there are many areas including portions of Jackson Township that include the 16th. Palmer will face off against Republican Candidate Anthony Gonzalez November 6th.

It was brought to our attention that we did not state the reasons why we endorsed Susan Palmer for this seat. We were planning on doing so at a later time; however, we also agree that there is no time like the present.

In several interviews we've had with Ms. Palmer; we see that she brings extensive experience from the health care industry both in the hospital room and in the administrative circles. Since health care is a major issue along with her opinions to protest Medicaid and Medicaid expansion; we support her platform on this issue. We also agreed with her ideas to raise the state minimum wage. Throughout our interviews; we found Ms. Palmer to be a strong woman focused on the grass roots needs of Ohioians. We have not heard from Mr. Gonzalez . It is for these reasons that we chose to endorse Susan Palmer for the 16th Congressional District.
