If you're not mowing your lawn; legislation proposed to mow it for you .. for a fee!
(Massillon): Are you one of those lazy lawn mowers? I know I am. Our days as lazy lawn mowers may be coming to an end thanks to legislation being proposed during Mondays work session. Actually; if you pay no attention to your property; presently; the city would be happy to mow and then send you the bill by assessing your property taxes to cover the cost.
The program is already in place; and according to SSD Joel Smith; its been fairly successful. The new legislation would propose outsourcing those services to an independent contractor which would free up city workers to focus on street repairs.
